What we’re doing about COVID-19

As the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) begins to be felt across the nation, we wanted to reach out to you and share the steps we are taking across our retail locations and business to keep you, our customers, and all members of the Oportun community safe and healthy.

The health and safety of our customers and employees have always been our top priority. There has been no known impact from COVID-19 in any of our retail locations.

We are monitoring the situation closely and following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as local, state, and federal health officials and agencies to ensure that we are taking comprehensive actions to prevent the spread of the disease. When you are in our retail locations

As part of our normal course of business, we clean and sanitize our retail locations daily. We’ve recently increased our efforts by wiping down hard surfaces thoroughly several times each day with a high-grade disinfectant and multipurpose cleanser. Hand sanitizer is available, and our associates disinfect their hands after each transaction. In addition, we have removed the children’s play structures, and are ensuring that our associates stay home if they aren’t feeling well.

When you need a loan

You may continue to come into our retail locations as always; you may also apply by phone at 866-488-6090 or online at Oportun.com/getstarted. All of these options will allow us to serve you quickly and easily.

When you need to make a payment

We are currently operating as usual and offer multiple ways to make payments. Many customers find it easiest to set up automatic payments, so that they don’t need to come into our locations or worry about missing a payment.

  • In person: You may still visit our retail locations during business hours
  • Phone: You can call to make a one-time or recurring payment from your bank account (ACH); be sure to have your account and routing numbers handy
  • Online: You can set up online bill pay through your bank (we don’t charge a fee). You can also set up automatic payments (ACH) by logging in to your Oportun account if you applied for a personal loan online
  • Payment partners: You can also pay at Walmart, Kmart, 7-Eleven, CVS, and hundreds of other locations that accept CheckFree Pay, MoneyGram, or PayNearMe payments.
