Oportun Financial Corporation (\u201cOportun\u201d) is a high-growth, mission-driven Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) providing inclusive, affordable financial services.<\/p>\n<p>Almost 1,000 Oportun employees participated in 39 projects across 36 cities in the United States and Mexico. The first annual Oportun Volunteer Day provided an estimated 1,875 hours of service to the communities Oportun serves and to the neighborhoods of its corporate offices.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOportun was founded on the principle of serving the communities in which we live, work, and serve. I\u2019m very proud of our employees for caring not just about the financial well-being of our customers, but for taking the time to help improve their communities and their lives in other meaningful ways,\u201d said Oportun CEO Raul Vazquez.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a mission-driven company, part of our DNA is to effect change and better the lives of those who need us the most.\u00a0 That\u2019s exactly what we\u2019re achieving with Oportun Volunteer Day.
